Replacing the gas tank, 12-22-2002:

 

As I predicted, the old tank had a crack in the interior compartment that holds a reserve of gas, which made the car  run out of gas when on a hill or sharp curve. Factory tank was all metal casing, but the interior was plastic. Probably hit the gas tank on something which made the plastic crack.

Replacing the front grill, 8-3-2002:

Use a T-15 Torx bit to remove the 6 screws holding the grill to the car:

New grill comes without 
the emblems in place:
